2015 was the beginning the end for Flash based .swf files. Vendors still displayed them, but the push was on to generate animated .gif or .mp4 files as substitutes. The original team that invented Future Splash should be proud of the animation tool that they created. If it hadn't been for the lack of object-garbage collection to prevent memory leaks in modern swf files, they could have still been a contender. I have thoughts on this and miss Flash, but, you know, c'est la vie.

There were three different compostional styles for these animations, A, B, and C. This year was also generally the end of Flash .swf for commercial production: But I used Flash to export frame-by-frame to .png files, then imported those frames into Fireworks as animations; there I created a common 256 color palette, and expoted GIF animations from Fireworks with the reduced color palette. These animations had very small memory footprints.
